Firefighters are attending a house fire in Douglas St, Gisborne. A house in Gisborne was badly damaged in a house fire on Saturday morning. The Douglas St house at Otiku Beach was “well involved” when firefighters arrived shortly after 8am. A Fire and Emergency spokesman said personnel were on the scene battling the fire and protecting nearby buildings. The spokesman was not aware of anybody harmed as a result of the fire.
