House Democrats Show Solidarity With 'Day Without A Woman' Strike


Dozens of Democratic members of Congress were met by a sea of red Wednesday as they marched off the House floor in support of the “Day Without A Woman” strike. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and several of her female colleagues lined the steps of the U.S. Capitol to address the hundreds of women’s rights activists that had gathered in the courtyard below. “A day without a woman ― just imagine what that would be if we could take it to its fullest extent,” Pelosi told the crowd. “We never want to find that out because women’s contribution is so valuable.”
