Horowhenua-Kapiti cricketer banned for two years for dopingFAIRFAX NZ New Zealand cricket has been hit by a rare doping case. Horowhenua-Kapiti cricketer Adam King has been suspended from playing for two years for possession and use of banned substances. DFSNZ chief executive Graeme Steel said the case highlighted the "very high risk" athletes faced for ordering prohibited substances online. "It's not just high performance athletes who can get caught out for possession and use of prohibited substances. Steel issued a wider warning, saying: "Anyone who thinks they can possess or take prohibited substances and get away with it, should think again."
