Mr Njoroge said the system can trace every person that the individual has been in contact with virtually, thus minimising the risk of persons going into hiding. “The data is saved under a unique ID that is encrypted and cannot be accessed by other parties,” Mr Njoroge adds. One such country is Australia, which developed COVIDSafe, an App that is tracing contacts of patients within the last 21 days.
