Hook actor launches Kickstarter for Rufio prequel - BangarangDante Basco / Facebook Dante Basco, who played Rufio in Hook, starts a Kickstarter campaign for a prequel. Dante Basco, the actor who played Rufio in the 1991, Robin Williams Peter Pan spin-off Hook, has launched a Kickstarter campaign for a a prequel centred on his character. With a working title Bangarang, the film's Kickstarter had a goal of US$30,000, but has already reached US$38,946 with 23 days to go. HOOK Dante Basco, who played Hook's Rufio, is campaigning for a Rufio prequel. The creators are also arranging an open-casting call for young actors in LA to cast a young Rufio and other characters, with details on the Kickstarter page.
