The investigation has forced police to shut down a section of Portage Avenue and they expect it to be that way until noon. Police are investigating a homicide in downtown Winnipeg, where clothing and blood can be seen on a curb in front of the MTS Centre. Westbound Portage is blocked at Smith Street and eastbound Portage is blocked at Hargrave Street. ​One block of Donald Street is also blocked, between Ellice Avenue and Portage.
