Self-proclaimed prophet Joseph Chenge of Jerusalem Mowar Church converted his cell into a prayer room on Thursday. Chenge wanted to meet President William Ruto and urged him to make haste and come see him within 21 days or risk facing certain misfortunes. In a video seen by the Star, Chenge is seen kneeling down while speaking in tongues. Homa Bay Directorate of Criminal Investigations Officer Abed Kavoo said they are holding Chenge for promoting controversial religious teachings. They were arrested after a video clip linked to Chenge went viral on social media where he asked Ruto to meet him urgently.
