Historian Catherine Marshall: ‘In our seventies we felt far more liberated than when we were burning our bras’

But while we acknowledged that we were falling apart a bit and our memories were not as sharp as they used to be, we began to realise that there were real plusses to being older women. They went on to run an art gallery in Roscrea and now they devote their days to their own art. This group of creative older women are bursting with zest for life, not to mention the wisdom of their years.
