His wife Annie Akter Poli said: “As usual Atiq went to office on Thursday and around 1:10pm called us, asking to pray for him. He said his office was on fire and filled with smoke. His last words were that he could not breath and then the call disconnected.”His namaz-e-janaza was held after the Friday prayers. He has left behind his mother, siblings, wife, and children to mourn his death. Atikur had been living in Dhaka’s ECB Chattar Manikdi area for the past 15 years along with wife, 15-year-old daughter and four-year-old son.
