He was grateful for the food and companionship, and it sure beat his last Thanksgiving meal: a bologna sandwich with cheese served in jail. Michael Mitchell boards a bus to the shelter where he is staying after having Thanksgiving dinner at Central Union Mission. As he finished his meal at Central Union, Mitchell remarked that he was thankful for being clean and out of jail.
