The five arrested doctors are CEO Sujit Chatterjee, medical director Anurag Naik, urologists Prakash Shetty and Mukesh Shah and nephrologist Mukesh Shete. AT LEAST two more doctors are likely to be arrested by Mumbai Police in connection with their probe into the alleged kidney donation racket at Hiranandani hospital. Investigators have already recorded statements of these two doctors — a pathologist and a general surgeon. Police also told the Andheri magistrate’s court that they wanted to probe if other doctors or hospital trustees were involved in the racket. A senior officer told The Indian Express, “So far, what has transpired is that they (the five arrested doctors) were negligent and hence the racket could operate.
