Steve Brown insisted today that he was right to give Eddie Jones a contract extension. The problem, of course, is that Jones then took England on a run of three defeats in a row. Unfortunately, that makes Brown look foolish. What is pretty clear is that Jones will take England through to the next World Cup. I don’t know how many consecutive defeats England would have to suffer were that not to be the case.
