Meanwhile, on the same highway, near the district town’s Muljan area, a bus veered off the road while overtaking another vehicle. “A passenger of the bus, identified as Shahidul Islam, died on the spot, while at least 15 others have been injured,” said Sergeant Dowla. “A Dhaka-bound bus ran over a motorcycle around 8am at Shibalay Upazila, killing the riders on the spot,” said highway police Sergeant Yamin-ud-Dowla.
