SINGAPORE: Nauraj Singh Randhawa (pic) broke his national high jump record with a height of 2.30m in the Singapore Open Athletics Championships. The Johor athlete, who featured in the Rio de Janeiro Olympics last year, erased his previous record of 2.29m, which he set in the same meet in April last year. For his efforts, he also qualified for the first time for the World Athletics Championships to be held in London at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Stadium from Aug 4-13. The qualifying mark for the World Athletic Championships is 2.30m.
