A farmer identified as Adetona Owolabi has been reported killed by suspected herdsmen on his farmland in Imeko-Afon area of Ogun State. This development is coming up on the heels of a said proactive measure taken by the state government to prevent clashes between herdsmen and farmers in the State. Nigerian Tribune learnt that the herdsmen attacked and eventually killed the victim who was in his mid-60s for daring to accost them when their cattle destroyed his farm. He was said to have been severally inflicted with machete cuts which resulted in the loss of blood and eventually death. The PPRO further said that the suspects had been moved to the homicide department of the command for further investigation into the matter.
