22 May 2024| 07:23am ISTGoa likely to complete NEP implementation at school level by 2027-28Team HeraldPANJIM: Goa is likely to complete implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) at the school-level by 2027-28, Secretary (Education) Prasad Lolayekar told media persons on Tuesday. 2024-25, while it will be implemented at Class III and Class VI level from academic year 2025-26. The National Curriculum Framework and National Credit Framework will be adopted by Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education for NEP implementation, and the details of the same are available on NCERT website. Papers will be set by the Goa Board in a centralised manner while evaluation will take place at the school level and two semester system will be followed. As per NEP-2020, School Education consists of four stages—Foundational Stage (Nursery to II), Preparatory Stage (III to V), Middle Stage (VI to VIII) & Secondary Stage (IX to XII).
