Superintending Engineer (SE), Margao (Circle-I, South), stated that there will be no power supply between 7 am and 3 pm in the entire South Goa district. However, major parts of Ponda taluka and specific areas like Raia, Curtorim, Loutolim, and Macazana will be exempt from the outage. The Industrial Estates in South Goa and Selaulim water works at Xelpem will also experience the power disruption. The initiative aims to enhance the reliability and efficiency of the power infrastructure in the region, focusing on key substations and transmission lines.
