Holiday giving in The Villages takes many forms, from money raised for direct purchases to gifts lovingly created by hand. Last year parish members adopted 163 families with 429 children and provided them with Christmas gifts. Other EffortsOperation Christmas Child is another drive that strives to help make the holidays a little brighter for children in need. The national collection week for Operation Christmas Child is Nov. 13-20. If you want to get personally involved, the Operation Christmas Child Club in The Villages will host its last packing session of the season from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Nov. 1 at Burnsed Recreation Center.
