On reflection, given that I'm young enough not to remember a time before Facebook, my resistance to Slack does seem rather luddite. But most importantly, it just felt like every time I opened social media there was a poisonous, overwhelming wave of unfiltered ranting. Half of people born after 1995 report that they're considering quitting or have quit a social media platform, and the numbers who report social media as being important to them are dropping off considerably.
