A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said crews were called to the blaze at Dalmore Reserve on Allenby Ave, Liberton, at 3.30pm. Four appliances from Willowbank, Dunedin Central and Wakari attended. Firefighters used a "forestry pack", a lightweight hose which is lighter to handle and uses less water, the spokesman said. The spokesman said the fire was out by 4.50pm.
