That inevitably leads to certain biases; every media entity will slant to some degree in one direction or another depending on its sense of where consumer demand lies. The Manila Times is as good an example as any. As most topics are to some degree debatable, the views of the opinion writer, presumably informed by experience and subject matter expertise, are supposed to provide a synthesis of the news of the day. These bad actors may not be intentionally trying to harm the public; in actuality, they are not considering the public at all, and that somehow seems even worse.
