Heavy winds cause flood watch for Windsor-Essex

The Essex Region Conservation Authority has issued a flood watch as heavy winds are expected to hit the region. Gusts between 70 and 90 km/h are possible and could cause "damaging waves" along the shore of Lake Erie. Flooding and shoreline erosions on the west side of Pelee Island, Point Pelee and for the municipality of Leamington are also possible, according to ERCA.
