NewsHeavy traffic has been reported in th Town Hall area due to a protest by university students. The protest has been organized by the Inter University Students' Federation (IUSF) calling on authorities to resolve several issues. The students are opposing a plan to affiliate the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM) in Malabe with the Kotelawala Defence University (KDU). Other demands include calling on authorities to resolve the current strike launched by university non-academic staff and an end to privatization efforts of education.
