NewsOpposition Leader R. Sampanthan met President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat this afternoon. Mr Sampanthan's meeting with the President followed a meeting with the President and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe at the President's official residence earlier this morning. Latest reports say that Mr Sampanthan informed the President that the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) will decide on its position regarding the No-Confidence Motion on Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe later tonight (3).
