Earlier in the day, 11 properties further down island, near Crofton, B.C., were also placed under an evacuation order. An evacuation order has been issued for parts of the Cowichan Valley due to risk of imminent flooding. 's North Coast, including Kitimat, saw heavy rain throughout the day Sunday, and periods of rain are expected until Tuesday.
