'Heartbreaking' theft of prime lambs leaves farmer reeling

Katie Jordan pictured with lambs on the Woodbourne property in 2009 says a significant number of her lambs have been stolen. A family whose prime lambs were slaughtered and stolen are calling for tips about lamb being sold on the black market. Checking further, they found “pools of blood” all over the grazing paddock, and were shocked to realise a “significant number” of their lambs were missing. “It's heartbreaking to know they had such a traumatic experience, being chased, captured and watching their lambs get slaughtered. There is a lot of stolen meat somewhere, someone will know something,” the post said.
