Police are searching the Manawatū River after an unmanned dinghy was seen. Police are searching for a man in the Manawatū River Loop near Foxton. Concerns were raised about 8.55am after a person raised concerns about an unmanned dinghy, a police spokeswoman said. “A person had been seen on the dinghy earlier this morning, however, it was later found with the motor running and no-one on board.”The police national dive squad and three boats manned by coastguard members are searching the river. A helicopter from Palmerston North also searched the river earlier this morning without success.
