Headteacher stole £500k from 'deprived' school for designer clothes and antiques


The head teacher was jailed for five and a half years for siphoning off the cash from the West Midlands school. Wolverhampton Crown Court heard Michelle Hollingsworth went on shopping sprees using the cash drained from Annie Lennard Primary School's coffers over a period of six years. The 55-year-old, who had spent her entire nearly three-decade career at the school, was helped by disgraced secretary and shopping buddy Deborah Jones, reports Birmingham Live . (Image: CASCADE NEWS)During sentencing yesterday, Judge Simon Ward said the pair made around 180 visits to boutique stores and on shopping sprees that were funded by school cheques. Hollingsworth, who lives in a £1million home in Cannock, and 57-year-old Jones, from Cradley Heath, bought everything from expensive designer clothes and antique furniture.
