With the launch of the e-challan system a fortnight ago, the Karimnagar Commissionerate of Police have made helmets for two-wheeler riders mandatory in the district from February 1. Kamalasan Reddy said the any two-wheeler rider not wearing helmet would be penalised as per law by sending e-challans. He also informed that they would launch a special drive against minors driving two-wheelers in the town. Later, the Commissioner released posters educating the people to wear helmets and avoid fine through e-challan. Additional DCP Srinivas and traffic inspector Seetha Reddy were also present.
