Paul Richards became "boorish, menacing and abusive" following a drug and alcohol binge and accused his partner of carrying another man's child. ‌This led to him throwing a knife and arming himself with a cheese grater before stamping on her television. Having picked up a cheese grater, Richards began stamping on a television and added "this is what I will do to your head". It caused you to go to her house and behave in the way described, altogether aggressive and abusive behaviour.
