KOTA KINABALU: Firefighters have been called to neutralise a chemical spill inside the cargo area of a Malaysia Airline Boeing 737-838 here today. A hazardous material (Hazmat) team was deployed to the Kota Kinabalu International Airport runway upon receiving a distress call at 6.15pm. At press time, it was not known whether the Malaysia Airline flight had made an emergency landing. "There were passengers on board when the Hazmat team was doing cleaning work. Malaysia Airports Sdn Bhd in Kota Kinabalu could not be reached for comment.
