KUALA LUMPUR: Tee Jing Yi is in no rush to reach the top. "If we can do well in a tournament, we consider that a bonus," said Jing Yi, who was only paired with Fie Cho in May. Since being paired, Jing Yi-Fie Cho have won two titles (Victor International Series and Malaysia International Series) and are currently ranked No 138 in the world. Also through to the second round were Kuala Lumpur Sea Games (KL2017) silver medallists Ong Yew Sin-Teo Ee Yi. Independent shuttlers Tan Boon Heong and Mohd Arif Abdul Latif also reached men's and mixed doubles second round with their respective Indonesian partners Hendra Setiawan and Rusydina Antardayu Riodingin.
