A police officer patrols Hawke's Bay Hospital in Hastings after it was put into lockdown earlier on Saturday. Hawke's Bay Hospital in Hastings was placed on lockdown for more than three hours on Saturday afternoon following a report of a threat to the hospital. A police spokeswoman confirmed the lockdown had ended just after 6.30pm following "extensive enquires" at the hospital and surrounding areas. Police would not elaborate further on the nature of the threat or whether it was associated with the Christchurch mosque shootings. A spokeswoman for Hawke's Bay District Health Board would not comment onconfirm exactly what the cause of the lockdown.
