Paris, July 3, 2019The haute couture shows came to an end in Paris Wednesday, July 3, with spectacular designs inspired by North Africa, Asia, nature, and respect for animals and the environment in numerous shows which eschewed the use of fur. Jean Paul Gaultier, in particular, shone in his use of trompe-l'œil giving the impression of fur. Franck Sorbier, Elie Saab, and Zuhair Murad also showed collections on the final day dedicated to haute couture for Autumn-Winter 2019.
