Cabinet Secretary for Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs Hassan Joho has announced plans to mark the 81st birthday of late opposition leader Raila Odinga, describing him as a symbol of resilience whose ideals continue to shape generations of leaders. In a statement, Joho said leaders and supporters would gather today, January 7, to honour and celebrate Odinga’s life, political journey and enduring influence on Kenya’s democratic struggle. Honourable Raila Amolo Odinga @ 80+1,” Joho said. “In us, his ideals continue to breathe, reminding us that true leadership is measured not by years but by the generations it awakens,” Joho added. Joho served under him as Deputy Party leader, alongside Cooperatives CS Wycliffe Oparanya.
