Heads of state and government of 11 Asian-European Meeting (ASEM) countries took part in the summit in Ulaanbaatar. She had also met German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Japan Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, the Netherlands Prime Minister Mark Rutte, Mongolia President Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj, Mynmar President Htin Kyaw, and Indian Vice-President Mohammad Hamid Ansari on the sidelines of the summit. A VVIP aircraft of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, carrying the prime minister and her entourage, touched down at Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 7:20pm on Saturday. Hasina addressed the second plenary session of the summit on Friday. Ministers, prime minister’s advisers, diplomats and military and civil officials greeted her on her arrival.
