Farmers are set to stage massive protests in Haryana and Punjab on June 16, in support of Mandsaur farmers and to raise implementation issue of Swaminathan report. The Haryana Congress today also announced to agitate in support of Mandsaur farmers besides raising issues plaguing the agrarian sector on Thursday. The decision was taken in a meeting held today at the residence of former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. I am not just a former chief minister but a farmer chief minister. Besides demanding the implementation of Swaminathan report, the farmers will also demand increase in sugarcane prices up to Rs 400 per quintal.
