Jyotiraditya Scindia, Hardik Patel stopped from going to MP’s Mandsaur

Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia and his supporters staged a sit-in at a toll booth demanding that they be allowed to visit Mandsaur. Photo: MintNew Delhi: The ground zero of agrarian unrest in Madhya Pradesh remained on edge on Tuesday as senior Congress leader and Lok Sabha member Jyotiraditya Scindia and Gujarat’s quota warrior Hardik Patel were stopped from entering Mandsaur. Since 1 June, Mandsaur has been the hub of farmers’ protests to press for a loan waiver and better prices for their produce. More farmers’ protests are being planned across the country. In states like Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, this is likely to cause traffic snarls.
