LEGALHarley-Davidson settles emissions caseHarley-Davidson has agreed to stop selling, buy back and destroy aftermarket engine tuners that the federal government called emissions-control defeat devices. Harley sold more than 339,000 of them from 2008 to 2015, according to a complaint filed Thursday in federal court in Washington. The airline said Thursday that Andrew Levy will serve as the new chief financial officer of United Continental Holdings and Julia Haywood as the new chief commercial officer. Acting chief financial officer Gerry Laderman will continue in his previous role as senior vice president for finance and procurement and treasurer. Jim Compton, chief revenue officer and vice chairman, will retire at the end of the year.
