Kayden Fleck fell into the fast-flowing Braid River in Ballymena, in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, at around 1pm yesterday. A major search and rescue operation was launched and Kayden was pulled out of the freezing water two hours later, before being airlifted to the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children. The Police Services of Northern Ireland (PSNI), crews from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service and the Community Rescue Service were also involved in the operation which began at the Ecos Centre, a nature park. "Every one of them, the police, fire and rescue, community rescue, paramedics, because this was a major operation.
