The Blue Jays designated utilityman Alen Hanson for assignment and selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Derek Law from Triple-A Buffalo. Hanson, acquired in the April 2 trade with the San Francisco Giants for outfielder Kevin Pillar, hit .163 with a .229 on-base percentage through 18 games. The 28-year-old Law, picked up in the same deal, has a 1.69 ERA across 102/3 innings with 17 strikeouts for the Bisons. The banged-up Yankees’ 13-man injured list will start to shrink this weekend. Andujar, a finalist for rookie of the year last season, has been sidelined since April 1 with a small labrum tear in his right shoulder.
