I’m reluctant to char Burger King too severely today, mostly because the stated intention is noble. So Burger King is hoping to eat away at the stigma around mental health issues, one Whopper at a time. “Real Meals” is the fake news of fast food. If Burger King really wanted to help improve mental health, it would start selling nothing but corn and broccoli. If Burger King must attempt to tie mood to food for marketing purposes, it should at least be aspirational.
