The benchmark Hang Seng Index gave up 190.53 points, or 0.79 percent at 23,954.81. HSBC Holdings (0005) fell by 2.46 percent HK$39.60, while Chinese insurer Ping An (2318) lost 1.24 percent at HK$75.85. Standard Chartered (2888), which also is among the group of banks with a combined exposure of at least US$3 billion to Hin Leong Trading, dropped by 3.55 percent to HK$39.40. In mainland China, the Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index is flat at 2,806.46, down by just 0.17 percent. The Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index is at 2,806.46, also down by 0.17 percent.
