Stocks are rising in Hong Kong today. The benchmark Hang Seng Index is at 30,439.64, higher by 119.81 points, or 0.40 percent, after opening lower. HSBC (0005) which will report annual results today, is up by 1.08 percent at HK$47.00. The Hang Seng Tech Index has dropped to 9,844.77, down by 132.64, or 1.33 percent. In mainland China, the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index shed 0.68 percent, or 24.74 points, to 3,617.70, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China's second exchange dropped 1.11 percent, or 26.84 points, at 2,389.82.
