The Halton Regional Police Service officer accused of stealing opioid drugs from an evidence locker pleaded guilty to charges in Milton court. Brad Murray, who headed the drug squad, is a 16-year veteran with the service. He was charged with two counts each of theft under $5,000 and breach of trust, and one count of obstructing justice. He pleaded guilty to the breach of trust charges and to tampering with seized elements of a case Monday. The Crown is seeking a conditional sentence while the defence is asking for a suspended sentence and 18 months probation.
