A source from the Special Deterrence Force (SDF) confirmed that the Libyan Army forces managed to enhance their positions in Salah al-Din after they launched an attack on the positions of Haftar's militias. On the Airport Road, Haftar's militia attempted to penetrate into the area in order to disperse the Libyan Army forces who were attacking Hamza Camp in the Khallatat axis. However, the Libyan Army forces received back-up and managed to restore their position in the area. They also destroyed all vehicles of Haftar's militias and killed a number of them as well as capturing 10 others. The sources added that Zawiya forces have advanced to Al-Mutrad –a town between Zawiya and Surman- but they have no intention to take any further steps now, however, all option remain open, according to one of the leaders of Zawiya forces.
