HK reports 33 new Covid cases, 5 infections untraceable


The Centre for Health Protection said as of 12am today, it has recorded 33 additional confirmed coronavirus cases – four imported and 29 local – bringing the tally to 9,108 cases. There were also over 30 preliminary positive cases today. Dr Chuang Shuk-kwan, head of the Centre for Health Protection's Communicable Disease Branch, said of the fresh local cases today, 24 were linked to previous local infections and five with untraceable sources. Chuang said among the local patients related to other local infections, 11 were related to the Tseung Kwan O-Lam Tin tunnel construction site cluster. The assistant’s family members have also been found to be infected.”The imported cases today include three returnees from Pakistan via Dubai and one from Nepal.
