The trio faced one count of misconduct in public office, with assault causing actual bodily harm as the alternative charge. Au and Tang were given a jail sentence of 32 months and 31 months respectively, while Tang was given a 17-month jail term. “This case is only the tip of the iceberg of Hong Kong’s police brutality.
