The bench of Justice Jahangir Hossain Selim and Justice Md Riaz Uddin Khan issued the order after Matiur Rahman Chowdhury submitted a bail petition on Wednesday. The High Court also asked him to surrender before the tribunal concerned after expiry of the bail term, said Barrister Jyotirmoy Barua, who stood for Matiur Rahman Chowdhury. Saifuzzaman Shikhor, a ruling party lawmaker from Magura-1, filed the case accusing Matiur Rahman Chowdhury and 31 others with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police station on March 9. MP Shikhor, in the case, alleged that the report contained false information and implicated several lawmakers without mentioning their names directly.
