Lourdes Gurriel Jr. went down to Buffalo and adjusted his approach at the plate. Gurriel hit his club-leading 16th home run Sunday in the Blue Jays’ 6-1 win over the Baltimore Orioles, their last game before the all-star break. All of Gurriel’s homers have come since he rejoined the Jays on May 24 after more than five weeks in Triple-A. Gurriel, like several other young Jays, has worked on his pre-swing load, getting his feet planted sooner. He went 2-for-4 Sunday against Baltimore, his third multi-hit game since being hit on the wrist by a pitch June 15.
